EMA can analyze microbiology of drinking water, wastewater, and source water for Total and Fecal Coliform, E.Coli, Fecal Streptococcus, and Enterococcus. EMA can also analyze surface samples, tape slides, Air-O-Cell cassettes, Anderson Impacters, and swab samples for an extensive list of molds, pollens, and air particulates.

Microbial Volatile Organic Compounds (mVOC)
Mold can grow on the interior of a wall and not be visually apparent. Sometimes only the volatile organic by-product of the living organisms (the musty, nutty, or earthy smell) can be detected. Sampling the air for microbial volatile organic compounds (mVOCs) can also be helpful in correlating the mold data from an Air-O-Cell or surface sample. EMA has developed a GC/MS method to detect a specific list of VOCs that are associated with specific molds to low part per billion levels (ug/m3) in air.
