EMA is located in Kearny Mesa, San Diego within three separate facilities. The main facility is a 6,400 sq. ft. floor plan housing a wide variety of analytical instrumentation and chemistry laboratory areas. Approximately 90% of the main facility is dedicated to the analytical laboratories. Separate laboratory areas are dedicated to semivolatile analysis, inorganic analysis, and extraction for organic analysis, digestion for metals analysis, sample receiving, metals analysis, and glassware cleaning. The second facility is located within the same Business Park as the first facility and houses our microbiology and volatile analysis laboratories. A third 900 sq. ft. facility located in National City, CA was necessary to accommodate overflow to expand both capabilities and volume at EMA.

EMA is designed to provide clients with a variety of analytical capabilities that respond to complex technical and regulatory issues. EMA's laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation to facilitate cost effective analyses of metals, organics, inorganic wet chemistry, and microbiology. We also provide client specific analyses for complex projects within a wide range of sample matrices. Our analytical expertise encompasses marine and estuary sediment, marine tissue, hazardous waste, water, and soil. As a result of our expertise, our clients rely on us to solve complex environmental problems that frequently require a combination of routine analyses and project-specific methods.

On behalf of our clients, we also provide technical advice and can assist in the design of sampling and analysis plans. EMA offers rapid turnaround to meet client needs for data-specific or remedial reporting requirements.
